Radar Detectors

As with any purchase, buying large numbers, or wholesale, would always certainly be a cheaper way in acquiring your products. Depending on where you get your items, the wholesale price of your radar detectors may change based on product type, location of the source, and the number of detector units you allot to order for. There are also sellers who "dropship", they take your bulk orders, and directly deliver them to your specific location; this proves to be very convenient when you're in a position of being in a central office, and make the wholesale orders by phone, and distribute them to stores in varying locations. Resellers often take advantage of the source's dropshipping option, since it is more hassle-free and economical.

Radar Detectors
Have you ever found yourself leisurely cruising along the long stretch of road; care freely enjoying the cool breeze and paying no attention to how fast you're going? Then before you know it, you're being tailed by red and blue flashing lights, which you can see in your rearview mirror. After that, you drive home, annoyed, and with a speeding ticket on the passenger seat next to you.

Similar to all implemented laws, speed limits are there for our own well-being, and also for the protection of those we may inadvertently smack into due to the lack of attention to how fast we're driving. Regardless of the dire consequences, we go on in rushing in our vehicles, speeding at every possible chance to quickly arrive at our destination.

There are times, while in the middle of it all, we do get caught.

When a police officer readies to shoot his radar gun, he can accurately measure your car's speed along a distance of approximately 1/5 of a mile. Police radars generally make use of four frequencies, the X band at 10-11 GHz, K band at 24GHz, Ka-wideband at 32-36GHz, and lately, the Ka super wideband, which can reach frequencies of 33.4 to 36 GHz. Radars emit a continuous pulse of radio signals which, when obstructed by an object in motion, changes it's frequency according to the speed and direction of the vehicle. Speed is then calculated by the detector, factoring the amount of time it takes for two comparable pulses to reach the receiver of the radar gun after the signal bounces off the moving vehicle.

How a Radar Detector Works
It's a good thing for a lot of speeders, that there's a useful tiny electronic box called the radar detector; it searches for the signals drivers aim to avoid. When it does find the bad signal, the radar detector begins issuing alerts, flashing and beeping, notifying you that you should slow down a bit. The bad thing about it though, your radar detector can at times, also detect burglar alarms, other radar detectors in other people's vehicles, and may even be set off by garage door openers; so unless you've purchased a less-sensitive.and more expensive model, or a unit having selectable sensitivity modes, your detector could be flashing and honking in your face even without a real enemy.

Radar Detector Picking Tips
. Make sure the model you purchase has a sensitivity of at least 110 dB.
. Opt for a wideband detector, which should pick up each band, from X to Ka.
. Ask for detectors with beeps and flashes that vary, basing on the signal it detects.
. Mute and volume control features are also good to have in your detector.
